Boost for emergency volunteers in Yuroke

Victorian emergency management volunteers are getting a well-deserved funding boost thanks to the Victorian Government’s $15 million Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability Grants program.

Hundreds of grant applications for equipment, communications, facility upgrades and community engagement and training have already been received from volunteer organisations across the state.

Member for Yuroke Ros Spence today congratulated Craigieburn SES on successful grant application.

Craigieburn SES will receive a total of $36,063, including:

  • $2,917.50 for community engagement and education;
  • $21,757.57 for facility improvements, including tablets and computer equipment, tables, chairs, sofas and presentation screens;
  • $11,388.49 for operational equipment, a portable petrol pump.

This funding will assist emergency volunteers in Yuroke in the crucial work they do in keeping the community safe.
