LOCALS TO SHAPE NEW CRAIGIEBURN COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

The Andrews Government is getting on with delivering a flagship community hospital in Craigieburn and making sure locals have a big say over the services it will offer.

Member for Yuroke Ros Spence today announced the Community Consultative Committee for the Craigieburn Community Hospital.

The Labor Government is delivering on its $675 million election commitment to build or upgrade 10 community hospitals in Craigieburn, Cranbourne, Pakenham, Phillip Island, Sunbury, Torquay, the City of Whittlesea, the Eltham area, Point Cook and Fishermans Bend.

Community consultative committees have been established for locals to work with councils and health experts to ensure each community hospital best serves the needs of local families.

Chaired by Member for Yuroke Ros Spence, the Craigieburn Community Hospital Community Consultative Committee includes 13 members and will give locals a say over the future of their community hospital, ensuring services can deliver the very best care and outcomes, closer to home.

The Craigieburn Community Hospital Consultative Committee members are:

Services may also include community mental health, alcohol and drug services and public dental depending on the needs of the local community.

The Craigieburn Community Hospital will be completed by 2024.
