New bus route for Greenvale

Residents in Greenvale and Greenvale North will soon benefit from the introduction of a new bus service.

Greenvale North is one of Victoria’s fastest growing suburbs, but it is not currently serviced by public transport.

Member for Yuroke Ros Spence today announced that from 16 October, the new 543 bus route will operate between Greenvale Gardens and Roxburgh Park, via the Providence estate in Greenvale and Greenvale Village Shopping Centre.

This new service will also provide residents in established parts of Greenvale with much-needed additional transport options.

Route 543 will also provide access to Roxburgh Park Station. Services will be coordinated with trains to Melbourne’s CBD in the morning and from the CBD in the afternoon.

The service will run approximately every 40 minutes, seven days a week from 6:30am – 9pm weekdays, 7:30am – 9pm on Saturdays and 7:30am – 9pm on Sundays.

Normal myki fares will apply for the route. The new bus Route 543 is part of the Andrews Labor Government’s $100 million Better Bus Networks program.
