NEW PRIMARY SCHOOL A STEP CLOSER FOR GREENVALE

Families in Melbourne’s growing northern suburbs are a step closer to having an exciting new local school, with the Andrews Labor Government delivering on its promise to build a new primary school for Greenvale.

Construction of the new Greenvale North West Primary School (interim name) is expected to begin in October as the project shares in an $624.8 million investment to open 100 new schools across the state over eight years.

Greenvale North West Primary School (interim name) will be open for students in 2021. Land for the school site has been acquired at Greenvale Gardens Boulevard, Greenvale.

Greenvale North West Primary School (interim name) has been designed as a Supported Inclusion Hub, to provide accessible and inclusive education for all students – including students with disabilities – to ensure that every student is able to attend their local government school.

Delivering this new school for Greenvale is part of the biggest education infrastructure spend in the state’s history, as the Government continues the school building boom to ensure every Victorian child can attend a great local school.
