NEW SPORTING FACILITIES FOR ROXBURGH PARK

Residents of Roxburgh Park and surrounds can now access a new $3 million integrated sports and community pavilion thanks to the Andrews Labor Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund.

Member for Yuroke Ros Spence today opened the home ground for the Roxburgh Park United SC, the new Arena Recreation Reserve Pavilion at True North Estate.

The venue was made possible through a $2 million grant from the Growing Suburbs Fund, which supports the creation of community connections, enhanced services, and greater opportunities at a local level.

This new integrated pavilion includes facilities for sports clubs and spaces for community groups to meet and hold events to encourage social interaction for a culturally diverse community.

The project was delivered by the Hume City Council which contributed $1 million towards the project.

The Growing Suburbs Fund has enabled the council to bring forward the delivery of this critical infrastructure for Roxburgh Park.

The 2019-20 Growing Suburbs Fund round is currently open for applications – delivering $50 million in funding to help Melbourne’s 10 interface councils respond to rapid population growth and increased demand on services.
