Concessions For Essential Services

The Andrews Labor Government offers concessions to make essential services – rates, water and energy – more affordable for low-income households and to help out with bills in times of hardship.

Concessions help low-income earners to afford essential services. This means more people can get the goods and services they need to sustain better living standards, and improve their health and wellbeing. In 2018–19, the government will provide $574.3 million in funding for concessions, assisting more than 900,000 Victorian households.
