Adjournment: Craigieburn Ambulance Station
Ms SPENCE (Yuroke) (19:03:12) — (14 293) My adjournment matter is for the Minister for Ambulance Services, and the action I seek is for the minister to provide an update on the additional ambulance station that is to be built in Craigieburn. I am proud to be part of a Labor government that supports our paramedics and volunteer first responders by providing the extra resources they need to respond even faster to life-threatening medical emergencies and save more lives. I thank the minister for this investment and her hard work to deliver better ambulance services for all Victorians, including residents of the Yuroke electorate.
Response:
The department is actively working with Ambulance Victoria to progress planning for the new ambulance station in Craigieburn.
The current focus is to identify a suitable parcel of land within the target search area which will ensure the best possible ambulance service delivery to the catchment area. A number of sites have been investigated and are currently undergoing feasibility analysis.
I look forward to making an announcement regarding the new ambulance station for Craigieburn community in the near future.
Hon Jill Hennessy MP
Minister for Ambulance Services
