Constituency Question: Craigieburn Fire Station

Ms SPENCE (Yuroke) (12:53:18): (190) My question is to the Minister for Police and Emergency Services. What is the latest information the minister can provide on the relocation of the Craigieburn fire station. As part of the 2018–19 Victorian budget the Andrews Labor government announced a new $13 million integrated station for Craigieburn, providing our career and volunteer firefighters with a bigger, better and more modern space. Our local firefighters do an incredible job protecting lives and property, as we have seen all too well lately, and I am delighted that this government is continuing to provide them with the support that they deserve. I look forward to hearing from the minister and sharing her response with Craigieburn CFA members.

Response:

The Victorian Government greatly values the work of the Craigieburn Country Fire Authority (CFA) brigade, and its selfless contribution to the safety and wellbeing of the community.

The CFA is currently investigating potential sites for the new Craigieburn CFA station.

The Hon Lisa Neville MP
Minister for Police and Emergency Services
