Duplicating Craigieburn Road
The Andrews Labor Government are investing more than $50 million to duplicate Craigieburn Road West, boosting capacity and slashing congestion for more than 28,000 drivers who rely on this road each day.
Key intersections will be upgraded along Craigieburn Road, including upgrading the existing roundabout at Mickleham Road to traffic lights. New shared cycling and pedestrian paths will be built on both sides of the road and flexible safety barriers will be installed to improve safety.
The upgraded Craigieburn Road will improve travel times and connections to Craigieburn’s growing residential and commercial precincts, train stations and public transport services.

This investment stands in stark contrast to the previous Liberal Government, who did not invest a single cent in major projects to fix our key local roads.
