Kalkallo Electorate
The state electorate of Kalkallo covers the suburbs of Mickleham, Kalkallo, Oaklands Junction, Yuroke, and most of Craigieburn, Wallan and Beveridge. The Victorian Electoral Commission has an interactive map can show you which electorate you reside in.
Kalkallo was established as a state electorate in the 2021 review of electoral boundaries ahead of the 2022 election, replacing the former Yuroke electorate.
The Kalkallo electorate is notable for its high proportions of young people, families, cultural diversity, and as an area where many families buy their first home. Over 50,000 electors currently reside in Kalkallo – a number that is expected to continue to grow in the years ahead.
Residents in the Kalkallo electorate are in the local government area (LGA) of Hume City Council, where they are represented by their Aitken Ward councillors, and Mitchell Shire Council, where they are represented by South Ward councllors.
Federally, the area is served by Maria Vamvakinou as the Member for Calwell and Rob Mitchell as the Member for McEwen.
