MORE OPEN SPACE FOR FAMILIES AND THEIR PUPS IN MICKLEHAM

Mickleham residents and their fury friends can now enjoy a fenced dog park thanks to funding from the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Yuroke, Ros Spence MP and the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change Lily D’Ambrosio MP recently had the opportunity to visit the newly completed dog park and meet some of Mickleham’s four-legged friends and their owners.

This new off-leash dog park in Merrifield was made possible through a $275,000 funding commitment from the Andrews Labor Government, in addition to a $125,000 contribution from the Hume City Council.

The Merrifield Dog Park is one of 14 purpose built off-leash dog parks delivered, through the Andrews Labor Government’s $315 million Suburban Parks Program and sits alongside the $2.5 million Building Works Program that funded an additional 17 off-leash dog parks State-wide.
