YUROKE YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL – APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

Nominations for this years Yuroke Youth Advisory Council (YAC) are now open.

Young people across our community aged between 14 to 21 are encouraged to apply for the voluntary council which will meet on the second Tuesday of every month after school hours.

State member for Yuroke the Hon. Ros Spence MP established the council shortly after being elected in 2015 to provide young people in her electorate with an opportunity to have a say on the issues that matter to them and their peers.

In previous years members of the council have organised a variety of grassroots community campaigns on matters that are important to them, such as mental health, unemployment, life skills, and racism. Members will also have the opportunity to engage with a variety of guests and community leaders such as Ministers, Councillors and not for profit CEO’s.

Use the form below to submit your nomination before February 22nd. Interviews for nominees will be conducted prior to the first meeting of the 2022 Yuroke Youth Advisory Council on March 15th.
