Ms SPENCE (Yuroke) — (12 282) My adjournment matter is for the attention of the Minister for Sport. The action that I am seeking is for the minister to provide local sports clubs in the Yuroke electorate with an update on how they can increase female participation and what grants are available to assist more women to participate in sport and take on leadership roles. I was delighted when the Andrews Labor government commissioned the inquiry into girls in sport and active recreation, and it was terrific that the government provided $1 million to fast-track the recommendations from that inquiry. That is why I know that local sports clubs, like the Craigieburn Football Club, which have terrific women’s teams, would welcome an update from the minister on this important matter.
