Member for Yuroke Ros Spence has announced $60,000 in funding for Hume council to help prepare and protect the local community for emergency events.

Emergency services volunteer groups in Yuroke will share in $12.5 million to purchase much-needed equipment as part of the 2015-16 Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP).

A new $34,000 trailer will provide a major boost to the resources of SES’s Craigieburn Unit and assist volunteers in performing their vital work.
