Northern Community Legal Centre is set to share in joint funding of almost $30 million from the Andrews Labor Government, and the Commonwealth, for community legal centres across the state to respond to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Families in Victoria’s fastest growing areas are a step closer to getting the state-of-the-art schools they deserve, with the appointment of new principals at all 14 schools opening in 2021 and commencement of community consultation to name the new schools.

The foundation principal has been appointed to lead the new Merrifield West Primary School (interim name), which is set to open in 2021 and provide more student places for local families.

Local workers who have lost work due to the coronavirus pandemic will have access to new jobs through the Victorian Government’s Working for Victoria initiative, as part of a campaign to keep communities safe and get people back into work.
