OVER $22 MILLION TO EXPAND LOCAL SCHOOLS WITH FIVE MORE ON THE WAY

The Victorian Budget 2022/23 provides $11.20 million each to Aitken Hill Primary School and Gaayip-Yagila Primary School to expand their permanent capacity by 300 places and to reduce the need for temporary, relocatable facilities, so more kids in our growing community can learn at these wonderful local schools.

Construction Tenders Out For 10 New Government Schools

Tenders for construction have been put out as part of a $491.6 million investment to build 10 of the 13 new schools, contributing to the Labor Government’s promise to opening 100 new schools across the state by 2026. This includes Merrifield West Secondary School (interim name).

Students at Mickleham Primary School are a step closer to getting the facilities they need for a great start in life, with an architect appointed to design the school’s exciting upgrade.

UPGRADING MICKLEHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL BRICK BY BRICK

Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Yuroke Ros Spence today announced Mickleham Primary School will receive a $21.433 million upgrade, following the more than $7 million announced through the Infrastructure Planning and Acceleration Fund, to acquire land and rebuild the school on an expanded site.
