INVESTING IN THE GREENHILL RECREATION PRECINCT

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will be backing a much-needed sporting hub for Melbourne’s growing north.

We’ll invest up to $5 million towards Stage 1 of the Greenhill Recreation Precinct project, which will include gymnastics.

The precinct will deliver an integrated facility for stadium sports, gymnastics and aquatics.

The precinct will also include facilities that are suitable and accessible for everyone to use, including sensory rooms.

Local sport is the lifeblood of all communities, and it brings people together – that’s why it’s so important everyone has access to great sporting facilities and spaces.

Only a Labor Government will back sporting clubs, families and communities by delivering better sports grounds and facilities.

We’ve invested more than $1.6 billion to upgrade and improve recreation reserves and sports grounds, delivering better playing surfaces, new scoreboards, lighting upgrades and changing facilities for clubs in every corner of the state – while at the same time, supporting local jobs.

Only a re-elected Labor Government will invest in our local sport clubs – because only Labor will do what matters.
