DIAMOND INVESTMENT TO DELIVER FOR WALLAN

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will deliver an upgrade to the Watson Street and Hume Freeway interchange for road users, cyclists and pedestrians in Wallan.

We’ll get on with delivering what matters for Wallan, with a $130 million contribution towards a full diamond interchange on the Hume Freeway, while delivering an upgrade to Watson Street to improve capacity and safety.

The new interchange will include two south facing entry and exit ramps to the Hume Freeway – improving local traffic flow, making trips safer and getting locals home sooner.

Regional Victorians know better than anyone how important it is to have safe and reliable roads. That’s why we’ve invested billions in regional Victoria, delivering overtaking lanes, road resurfacing and bridge strengthening.

Better yet – these investments have created thousands of Victorian jobs.

When it comes to creating jobs and building much-needed infrastructure, Matthew Guy’s Liberals can’t be trusted. They’ve already promised to “audit” much-needed investments across the state – Liberal code for cuts and closures.

When Matthew Guy was last in power the Liberals cut investment in roads across the state by $100 million.

Only Labor will keep building to get Victorians home sooner and safer and only Labor will deliver what matters.
