STAGE 2 OF ELEVATION SECONDARY COLLEGE OFFICIALLY OPEN

Member for Kalkallo Ros Spence MP joined the Minister for Education the Hon. Natalie Hutchins this
week to officially open Stage 2 of Elevation Secondary College, thanks to an investment of over $25
million by the Andrews Labor Government.

The school now boasts additional facilities, which include a gymnasium, performing arts and music
classrooms, food technology classrooms, and a canteen. Stage 2 also includes two new learning
communities, additional hardcourts, landscaping, and a sports oval.

Established in 2020, the first stage of Elevation Secondary College included a science, technology
and arts building, a general-purpose learning community, an administration centre and library.

This project builds on the Andrews Labor Government’s strong investment in schools and education
throughout Melbourne’s outer north, with Mickleham Secondary College and Wayi School having opened
earlier this year.

A further two schools, Lockerbie Central Primary School (interim name) and Merrifield South Primary
School (interim name) are under construction and set to open at the beginning of next year.
